Teleporters

Quick and easy to setup simwide teleporters based off Stargate shows.

How to use :

  1. Rez your teleporter
  2. Change the description to your Network name of choice
    • A network name is like a group of teleporters, only teleporters in the same network will see eachother.
  3. Change the teleporter name to your liking
    • The teleporter name will be the destination name in the remote teleporters menu.
  4. Repeat this process until you have all your teleporters rezzed where you want them to be.

If your teleporters don’t show up yet in your menu when clicking one of them, you can hold your 3 seconds over the interraction area* and select the Update option to force a synchronisation.
If this one of them is still missing, make sure the network name is exactly the same!

*The Asgard teleporter settings menu is on the right side of the stone panel.

Settings Menu :

  • Upside
    • Only available for the Teleporter Rings HD, spawns a top rezzer for the rings to come from the ceiling.
  • C&Q
    • Enables/Disables teleporter to lock in case of Code 9 or Quarantine alerts.
  • Direct
    • Enables/Disables the confirmation prompt before teleportation
  • Access
    • Access settings choice : owner only, group only (same group) or public
  • Lock
    • Locks the teleporter, users can’t use it and it disappears from destinations
  • Update
    • Force a synchronisation with the network of teleporters over the sim
  • Delete
    • Deletes the teleporter properly (announces to other TPs to remove it from the destination list instead of waiting next synchronisation cycle)

Known issues :

  • Teleporting to an Alteran Teleporter from another type may cause some avatar to arrive outside of the cabin.
    • Best way to avoid this is to try to not mix Alteran teleporters with others types in your network.
  • Teleporter Rings HD rings object tends to have a high land impact depending of the region its rezzing on.
    • I recommend making sure you have at least 200 LI left on the parcel for the animation to fully rez.
